Panattoni has broken new ground in Hamilton

October 23, 2019
Panattoni is excited to announce that it held a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday to launch their new industrial development in the City of Hamilton. Located at 50 Aeropark Boulevard, this state-of-the-art development is Panattoni’s first speculative project in Hamilton and will offer tenants high quality property attributes and cost savings through high efficiency building and design.

Construction is about to begin on this 264,534 SF speculative building, the first building in Aeropark that will eventually offer a total of 1.5 million square feet of speculative development over multiple buildings. The site is strategically located adjacent to John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, Canada’s largest overnight express cargo airport and is also in close proximity to the Lincoln Alexander Parkway and Highway 403, offering great connectivity to 400 series highways.

Leading the market in the design of best-in-class industrial facilities, features of this site will include high efficiency LED lighting, a superior clear height and shipping door ratio, ESFR sprinklers, as well as the coveted feature of trailer parking.

“We are thrilled to be building in the City of Hamilton” said Panattoni’s Development Manager for this project, Adam Lambros. “Panattoni is investing in Hamilton because we believe in this City’s growth potential. We believe in Hamilton’s people and we believe in the Airport Employment Growth District”.

“The Panattoni Group’s investment in the Airport Employment Growth District (AEGD) is another endorsement of the growth and opportunities that exist in the area surrounding Hamilton International Airport,” said Cathie Puckering, President & CEO, John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport. “This investment will create a positive economic impact to the City of Hamilton and the region as a whole.”

Fred Eisenberger, the Mayor of Hamilton, attended the ground breaking event and said “Panattoni is investing in Hamilton because it believes in our community, our International Airport, and our Airport Employment Growth District. This development will mean high value, high-paying jobs and increased prosperity for all.”

The ground breaking event kicks-off a very exciting project for Panattoni, providing high quality product in a new market area. With up to 1.5 million square feet available, the Panattoni team looks forward to welcoming tenants to the site.
